I returned from my first trip to the southwest on Tuesday night...it was so beautiful, but so different from any landscape I have ever seen. I have tons of pictures to sort through, but right now I'm just trying to catch up on laundry, vacuuming and grocery shopping. More pictures will follow, but for now, behold the crazy, twisty tree!

An Alien Landscape
I returned from my first trip to the southwest on Tuesday night...it was so beautiful, but so different from any landscape I have ever seen. Hi Emily! Sounds like you two had fun visiting the great southwest. The beauty of the dessert takes some getting used to, doesn't it? Especially when you're used to greener pastures. I can't wait to see your pictures of the Grand Canyon---I bet they're exquisite.

Michele, oh yes, we played blackjack--we won a ton, then we lost a ton. We ended up winning just enough to cover Kevin's speeding ticket!
