A Vegetarian Confession
I haven't eaten red meat since 1987, but all the neighbors have been grilling burgers this weekend, and oh my, they smell so GOOOOOOOD! Oh well, we have Morningstar Farm mushroom burgers in the freezer, and topped with a slice of cheese and slathered in mustard, ketchup and pickles, they're almost meat-esque. Really, the only thing they lack is that yummy, yummy charred flesh aroma...mmmm.

So… You don't eat meat even on "special occassions"? ;-)
BBQ-ed food smells good. The love of lighter fluid here in Norway makes the BBQs themselves smell horrible.
Morningstar Farms are so awesome. They have a great vegetarian product line!
I used to go to Chili's and get the blackbean burger for the "real" burger fix. with french fries.
I like morning star and boca but there was something about chili's (probably the fries - ha!)
Keera, nope, I gave up red meat when I was 11, and then stopped eating poultry when I was 18. When I was 19 I stopped eating fish, but for me, that has been the hardest thing to give up. I have gone for a few years here and there totally meat and fish free, but at this point I do occasionally eat fish or shellfish, maybe once or twice a week. Luckily for me, it's been generally pretty easy to not eat meat...it's not like I was trying to give up chocolate or something. That would be crazy (and completely impossible)!
The Gluttony Exchange, I know, I love their fake chicken line too, yum! Welcome to my blog and thanks for leaving a comment!
Victoria, I didn't know that Chili's has a bean burger, that sounds awesome! (And fries do make everything better!)

I am in awe!!! Well done. I do eat meat and chicken but stick to free range only at least, but I know it is not a good enough excuse.
"yummy charred flesh aroma..." It's weird how that sounds delicious to me. :-)
